From bone-chilling thrillers to tempting romances to enlightening autobiographies, we are inviting authors of all genres to submit their work for our first ever Kindle UK Storyteller Award. The prize is now open to entries, and authors have until 19th May to enter. The winning author will receive a £20,000 cash prize, a marketing campaign to support the book on Amazon.co.uk and the opportunity to have their book translated.
Once entered, it will be up to our readers to decide which books are successful, as the shortlist will be compiled based on a number of factors that measure customer interest. The shortlist will then be brought to a panel of experienced judges who will decide upon the winning story. Literacy campaigner Lily Cole, the Metro’s Book Editor Claire Allfree, and founder of the Alliance of Independent Authors (ALLi) Orna Ross all join the panel.
International bestselling author Rachel Abbott joins the judging panel as well. Selling over 2.7 million copies of her books since she published her first work on Kindle Direct Publishing in 2011, Abbott is looking forward to reading the work of a diverse selection of authors.
