Today we were pleased to host the first Amazon Launchpad Startup Summit at our offices in London – a series of free workshops for UK start-ups to learn how to bring new products to market.
The day-long summit showcased how Amazon Launchpad can help new brands launch innovative products, as well as utilising our ecommerce expertise, global infrastructure and marketing tools to reach millions of potential new customers. The Amazon Advertising team were also on hand to help start-ups build their brand and drive sales.
Speaking at the summit were some of the start-ups that have successfully launched their products on Amazon Launchpad. Kano, who produce a range of computer kits for children to build and code their own technology, talked about how they have sold over 150,000 products to customers in 86 countries, using Amazon Launchpad as a way of growing their customer base.
UK-based healthcare start-up Elvie also discussed how they have grown their business on Amazon Launchpad, which now accounts for 15 per cent of their global sales. By taking advantage of Amazon’s world-class fulfilment and Prime delivery benefits across the world, Elive was able to go global, now selling across Europe, the US, Canada and Australia.
We look forward to supporting new and innovative start-ups in bringing their products to market following a successful first Amazon Launchpad summit in London.
