Launching exclusively to Prime members in the UK and Ireland on 1 March, Dead Hot is a compelling and twisty character-driven thriller created and written by Charlotte Coben (The Stranger, Stay Close) and executive produced by Nicola Shindler (It’s A Sin, Happy Valley).
The show delves into the themes of class, love, and identity through the friendship of Elliot (Bilal Hasna) and Jess (Vivian Oparah) who are bonded by the trauma of losing Peter – Elliot’s first love and Jess’s twin brother.
Set in present-day Liverpool, five years after Peter mysteriously disappears, the two best friends spiral into a hedonistic lifestyle, partying to numb their grief while clinging to the hope that they will one day discover the truth behind Peter’s disappearance.
When Elliot begins a new relationship with Will, he finally starts to put the past behind him – that is until he discovers that Will has his own dark secrets. Meanwhile, Jess is contacted by someone claiming to be Peter which sets off a chain of events that leaves the two friends questioning whether Elliot is romantically cursed – or being targeted.
This series is a must-watch for those who love a good mystery with a dramatic twist!
