Clarkson’s Farm follows the intense, arduous and frequently hilarious day-to-day life of Britain’s most unlikely farmer, Jeremy Clarkson, as he faces up to unhelpful weather, disobedient animals, unresponsive crops and unexpected challenges.

Helped only by a rag-tag band of agricultural associates, Jeremy quickly discovers that a modern farmer must be conservationist, scientist, shepherd, shopkeeper, midwife, engineer, accountant and tractor driver, often at the same time.

Clarkson’s Farm season 4 picks up a few months after the season 3 finale, and a lot has changed on the farm. Kaleb is on a nationwide tour, Lisa is working on a new product line, and Jeremy is left to run the farm alone. In Kaleb’s absence, Jeremy must keep Diddly on track and comes up with an idea — to buy a pub.

The road to becoming a pub landlord isn’t straightforward, and Jeremy faces obstacles including derelict buildings, red tape and a picnic site with a colourful past.

Mother nature also conspires to make this one of the toughest years ever for British farmers, but when the whole gang pulls together, anything is possible.

The cast of Clarkson's Farm features Jeremy Clarkson and Lisa Hogan, his girlfriend who runs the farm shop, as well as a rag-tag band of agricultural associates. This includes Kaleb Cooper, a young farmer from the local area, “Cheerful” Charlie Ireland, the farm’s manager, and Gerald Cooper, a specialist in construction.

Clarkson’s Farm is located between Chipping Norton and Chadlington in the Cotswolds.

The farm spans an impressive 1,000 acres and is used to grow crops like barley and rapeseed, as well as rear livestock such as pigs and sheep. The farm is also home to the Diddly Squat Farm Shop and a gourmet food van offering delicious meals.

You can visit Diddly Squat Farm Shop, which is open Wednesday to Sunday from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm, including on bank holidays. You don’t need to book in advance, just turn up and the Diddly Squat Farm team will be on hand to help.

The Diddly Squat Farm Shop is filled with products from the farm as well as neighbouring businesses in the Cotswolds. If you can’t make it in person, you can also shop a range of Diddly Squat Farm Shop products online at Amazon Fresh. Its products are also stocked on Deliveroo.

Sadly no. The restaurant opened in 2022 but was forced to close by the local council. Visitors to Diddly Squat Farm Shop can still enjoy delicious food, though, as there is now a gourmet food van on the premises. Jeremy’s pub, The Farmer’s Dog, also uses ingredients and produce from Diddly Squat Farm and other British farms.

Yes, The Farmer’s Dog, opened by Jeremy in Burford in 2024, is open every day of the week.
