To celebrate and show our support for the LGBT+ community, Amazon Music is happy to be Pride in London’s first official music partner as the festival runs from 24th June to 9th July. This sponsorship comes as part of our continued work to support diversity in the technology sector, in addition to becoming a Stonewall Diversity Champion and our new membership with OUTstanding.
Pride in London promises to showcase a number of live entertainment acts and we are helping to sponsor The Radio Dive Women’s Stage at Leicester Square on 8th July, the day of the parade. Our partnership also includes Amazon Music support of “Pride’s Got Talent”, an exciting chance for new and emerging talent to perform live on stage.
“At Amazon Music, we’re proud to support Pride in London 2017. As one of the largest events in London, we’re excited to have the opportunity to showcase and celebrate the amazing diversity of LGBT+ talent that enrich our daily lives. As well as a whole host of internal events across all UK Amazon offices, we’ll be proudly marching in the Parade with glamazon – our employee LGBT+ network,” said Vice President of Amazon Music, Steve Boom. “We're also celebrating Pride this year by launching an online advert that celebrates LGBT+ relationships and that all too familiar 'meet the parents' first moment, and highlights the powerful role music plays in our everyday lives."
Music will be at the heart of the Pride celebrations, and you can listen to the Official Pride in London playlist on Prime Music and Amazon Music Unlimited now. Featuring LGBT+ anthems such as Lady Gaga’s heroic track Born This Way, Robyn’s reflective number Dancing On My Own, ABBA’s quintessential dancefloor tune Dancing Queen, and much more, this playlist has something for everyone.
Prime members and Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers with Amazon Echo or Echo Dot devices can simply ask, ‘Alexa, play the Pride in London playlist’ to start listening to the 50 track strong playlist.
