In the wake of the tragic Manchester Arena attack last May, creatives across Manchester came together over the summer to create the coffee table book called This is the Place, Choose Love, Manchester.
The book contains unique illustrations, designs and photographs set against lines from Tony Walsh’s memorable poem which was read at the vigil for the victims of the Manchester attack. Profits from this book are going to Manchester-based charities Forever Manchester, We Love MCR Emergency Fund and The Greater Manchester Mayor’s Homelessness Fund.
After many pre-orders in anticipation for the release, the book is now officially on sale and we have waived the fees to stock the book and are assisting with fulfilment of orders, ensuring readers are provided with their copy as quickly as possible and that charities are supported. “People have literally put their day jobs on hold to help make this happen and we’re so grateful,” said James Torry, the brainchild behind the project.
“The end result is not only visually stunning, but very moving and by supporting these brilliant charities, I know we all feel like we’ve created something really special that we hope will make a real difference.”
